When you bring your project into Museum Quality Framing, your Design Consultant is going to ask you for some information about the piece, your decor and more. This is a vital step in creating the perfect custom framing solution for you. So here are 4 questions to keep in mind:
1. What are you framing?
This is important to determine the level of conservation you need. Is it simply a poster or is it a treasured family heirloom? It is a limited-edition print or original artwork? Some things are worth guarding with conservation materials. Your Design Consultant will explain the benefits of acid-free mats, conservation mounting and UV protective glass.
2. What room is this going into?
Think about where you are going to hang your new piece. What is the furniture style? Contemporary? Traditional? Cottage? Feel free to bring in photos of the room or magazine pictures of decor similar to yours. This information helps your Design Consultant choose moulding that complements your decor as well as the piece you're framing.
3. What is your color scheme?
What color is the wall the piece will hang on? Is it painted or wall papered? What color is your upholstry? Bring in paint chips or fabric samples to show your Design Consultant. Knowing your color scheme helps us select the perfect mats and accents to enhance the piece and coordinate with your decor.
4. What is the lighting in the room like?
Consider things like glare and direct sunlight. Your Design Consultant can show you how non-glare or museum glass can enhance your piece. echo $brand?> only uses Conservation Glazing products in your custom framing projects.
